Semi Gloss Sealer

The Tile Doctor Semi Gloss Sealer is a water based formula that provides both a surface sealing layer of protection from stain and a low sheen enhancing the natural appearance of unsealed surfaces and natural stone. The low gloss layer is transparent and forms a long lasting vapor permeable barrier that is UV resistant and VOC compliant. May also be used as a pre-grout sealer and for sealing grout joints.

COVERAGE: 200-1000 square feet per gallon per coat Coverage will vary depending on type of stone, porosity and texture of surface absorption, temperature, humidity and method of application.

USES: Use on interior/exterior natural stone, marble, granite, limestone, brick, slate, saltillo, unglazed tile, grout and masonry surfaces. Works on most porous architectural substrates.

APPLICATION: Read entire label before using. Surface must be clean, dry and free of existing sealers or coatings. Allow at least 48 hours after new installations before sealing. Apply and saturate surfaces using a, paint pad/applicator, or sponge. Apply smoothly and evenly coating all surfaces without allowing puddling. If 2 or more coats are applied, allow a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 6 hours drying time between coats. Many surfaces will require multiple layers. Achieves full cure in 24 hours. Clean applicator tools with water after each use.

MAINTENANCE: The Tile Doctor Advanced Tile and Stone Cleaner is recommended for surface cleaning.

GROUT RELEASE APPLICATION: For new installations, follow application procedure above. Allow to cure a minimum of 2 hours before applying grout.

TEST A SMALL AREA according to application instructions with a 24-hour cure time to determine desired results. May darken or lighten some surfaces. Test for stain repellency using likely contaminants

WARNING: COMBUSTIBLE Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Caution: use in well-ventilated areas. Do not use this product with high pressure sprayers. Use low pressure sprayers with no more than 25 psi. Do not aerosolize. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Rubber gloves and eye protection should be worn during application. IF INGESTED: if person is conscious, immediately give 2 glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention. EYE CONTACT: Flush with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. SKIN CONTACT: Wash immediately with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. INHALATION: relocate to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

EXPECTED WEAR: Will vary depending on hardness and texture of surface, type of area, surface wear, frequency and type of maintenance products used. The expected wear is up to 5 years. Harsh cleaning methods, and high alkaline, acidic or solvent-based cleaners will affect wear.

LIMITATIONS: Do not allow sealer to come in contact with any non-recommended surface as product is not completely removable. Sealers and finishes should not be used before or after use of Semi Gloss Sealer. If residue occurs, use a scrub brush with alcohol to remove. Sealer will not prevent surface wear or protect from acids or caustic chemicals.

HANDLING AND STORAGE: Close container tightly after each use. Store in original container in a cool, dry area. Dispose of residue or any unused leftover product in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
